Back to CANADA

OK so we cant put this off any longer
We definitely are finding the long way home, in some cases looping around, we have some planned reunions on route to home, Mark our brotherinlaw is meeting us in Penticton on Wednesday night and then we will ride together down to Hope where we will rondevous with Nige and Rose, two of our closest friends, then we will all ride to Fort Langley hang out for the night and catch up before we head to the ferry and to Vancouver Island where we will see our daughter Jess and her fella Scott, whom we havnt seen now for 14months, very exciting.  We have a picnic planned in Victoria with them, weather permitting, and then that evening we will see Phil, our son and meet his girlfriend Lisa at their place for dinner, Trev will have fun with that, although we have heard that Lisa can hold her own so not too worried,  Phil joined us on this trip for a month in Thailand which was a blast, too many buckets though!

This should be a nice transition for us before the big party on Saturday on Salt Spring Island with all the rest of our family and friends and blog followers.  For those of you followers who dont know, I have 8 sisters, all of whom are married with children and Trevor has 1 brother and 3 sisters and all their kids too,  so should be a fun party!  Not to mention friends and followers too..
This is one border crossing - that should be a breeze

We enter into Canada thru Alberta at one of the quietest
borders I have seen, only 3 other cars there.
I must confess a few tears behind my sunglasses as we rode across the border into Canada, not really sure if they were tears of relief that we were now home safely on Canadian soil or whether they were tears of excitement and emotion to see my family and freinds in a few days..or even tears of sadness because this journey is almost over, likely all three.  As you can see Trevor was just full of big smiles!
OK I think the red looks good on me

International Peace Park.
I think there should be more of those in the world

OK so its official We are back in CANADA
14 months, 30 countries and over 70,000 Km
What a trip!!
Hope to see you all at the party on Saturday
