Back to BC

After getting in to Alberta we find a hotel in Waterton
and settle in for the night

Breakfast in the morning is a familiar sight

We have ridden the Crows Nest Hwy several times
but had never done the Pass.
Riding around in BC is beautiful and it was great to just wander with out a schedule. We have ridden around here before many times and according to the book Destination Highways which is specifically  written for bikers some of the roads around here are the best in the province. We hit the crows nest pass and followed it into Creston were we met with a good friend and business associate Phil from Pacific Truss. We had tried to meet with Phil on our way out but had missed each other so I really wanted to say hi on the return. Phil a rider himself had been following our blog for a while and it was great to sit in the bar in Creston and chat for a while.

Animals on the road again
but at least they don't JUMP anymore

So I guess we are now in the right Province

We just had to drop into Sparwood

To see the worlds BIGGEST truck

I think there would be enough rubber in this tire
to make 50 tires for my bike

We head up the side of Kootney Lake
one of the best rides in BC to get the ferry  across to Nelson

After a beer and a long chat we headed out up the east side of Kootney lake and got the ferry across to Nelson. Nelson is a great little town that both Chenty and myself could move to but as it is to far away from the ocean thats not going to happen.

A perfect day to be on the water

The Hume Hotel in Nelson
A great place to stay but no Air Con

We have stayed in Nelson many times
and we love the small town tranquility
Well after on night in Nelson we hit the road again. We had thought of staying two but the weather was great and the bike was outside so off we went again. This time heading north away from Vancouver to Nakusp I wanted to ride the needles again and well at home !! they didn't expect us till Saturday. anyway....
