Transportation and hotels

In the bigger cities that have the hop on hop off bus tours we usually grab one of those as its a relaxing way to get to know the city. They have headsets that are in English so you get to know where you want to be in the city for the best sites in the short time we have to explore.

The hop on hop off ticket is valid for 24hours and is usually around $22euro each.

Acommodations is a big part of this trip, almost everyday we are checking out where to stay next, really what we are looking for is a cultural experience but sometimes what we end up with is the cheap alternative like the Ibis hotel chain. It really is good value for money and the breakfast is always good and allows you to sneak enough baguettes and cheese for the lunch stop on the side of the road too so thats always good and cheap!

Typically the Ibis is around $58-79 euro per night depending on the city and it always has a secure spot for the moto..

Then there is the underground, this is by far the quickest and cheapest way of getting around in the cities - once you have figured out how to buy the ticket then its really easy from then on, we highly recommend using the underground.
