Phnom Penh

Good for Canada Always try to teach a healthy
 standard of living

We go for a ride out in the city

And Ronnie, as always is a wealth of information
A fun ride in the tuk tuk exploring Phnom Penh with the guys, the capital city of Cambodia.

Situated along the Tonle Sap river that runs into the Mekong, home to the Royal Palace, lots of riverside restaurants, shops and hotels, tourism thrives here.  Quite an eye opener for me, it was a good laugh spending a few days in a city with the guys where prostitution is running rampid and watching them discuss how disgusting it all was and how they felt bad about being white men watching the goings on.  Morgan was so dry in his opinion of how filthy it all was and poor old Ronnie has led a sheltered life, cant belief the balls on these girls, so to speak, Trev just seem to take it all in his stride watching bright eyed and little old me had a hard time comprehending how people become so emotionless just to survive in this industry.  We stayed in a hotel in the heart of it all where "no hearts" are to be found just "sex" of course we didnt realize that when we booked in.  We spoke to some Canadians who have been teaching here for over 5 years and they said that it shouldnt be that the women are frowned upon for this behaviour but that their country should be ashamed of themselves for allowing it and not giving them any support and helping them help themselves!  She said that the same thing goes on here as in India and Nepal where young girls are sold into the sex trade, it sucks - dont get me started.

I think this was part of the Royal Palace
But as the dude was not in we decided
not to drop in!!

The Museum which we did in about 45 mins
Same Same!!

Now I have to go really bad

And this is why we should all have two kids
The resilience of children, even though they are maybe made to do begging till late into the night, there are moments in their lives when they can forget all that and just have fun, I love it.
More of the Palace

Here we are again

And this is another reason we like to ride here.
They could never catch us!!
