Off to the Market in Pakxe

Nice Mellon's Lady!!

After a long breakfast, continuing our travel stories and experiences with Ronnie we finally headed out to see the town together.
Not much memorable to say about Pakse as a town, its a stopping off point for travellers coming from Cambodia and its got a great market, we finally decided to jump in a tuk tuk and check it out.  Some of the items being sold on these markets are unrecognizable and indescribable, cant imagine actually eating them.  Lots of salted fish, fresh fruit and veg, I will say that the fruit in these countries is delicious and I have tried lots especially in smoothies.
Maybe for a soup??

This gal was real good with a
 meat cleaver
Watching this lady chopping these pigs trotters it was amazing that she didnt chop her fingers off as she looked up and smiled at the guys!
Catfish from the Mekong

These look deformed
I normally like fish but after looking at these guys and the color of the Mekong River Im giving it a miss till we reach the ocean!

Fresh some still moving!!

Or stiff as a board
Dragon Fruit

Hard working people
We weren't sure if this was a Rhino Horn

Thats a lot of peppers considering you only need one in a dish!
