Well after getting the bike back and being forced to spend to much time in LA both of us couldn't wait to get out, so once we had the new tires installed we hit the 405 north then on to the 5 then a quick left turn and hit the number 2. We were out of town in a flash. The closest wilderness in the LA area is the Angeles National Park and within two hours we were climbing in the mountains and being reminded of just how beautiful this continent we live on is. The funny thing is that the first place we stopped at for a coffee had several bikers there and one of the guys came straight over and noticed our Laos flag on the box and asked if we had been there as that is where he was from. Yes we replied what a lovely place, as it turned out he was born in Venetian were we had spent three days. Riding on it was getting late so we pulled into a small mountain town of Wright Wood found a motel and checked in for the night. We walked into town and hit the first bar we could find, sat down and ordered beer and pizza. What a great day.

Now thats a BIG WEINER.
How can you tell we are back in the USA |
|
90,000 Km/s OK I think the bike is run in now!! |
We didn't have to go far and around rolled an other mile stone or should I say Kilometre stone, yes the bike rolled over 90.000 km/s that puts us at 68,000 since leaving home.

The Tioga Pass What a ride |
The Tioga pass into Yosemite is something we wanted to do the last time we were down in the US when we first bought the bike in 2009, but due to the elevation and the time of year it was still blocked with snow. So now in the summer we just had to go and see.

Over the top into Yosemite |
The climb up to the top was stunning. The temperature dropped again and Chenty plugged in her vest, but not for long as it was only a couple of hours and we were dropping down he other side.

I love riding in the mountains |

Now thats getting up there |
|
We met this young lad who had been on the road 14 days
and was heading to the west coast
His longest day on the bike was 1200 miles
Now Thats A Long Way |
