The wool shop and Coffee Tasting

What a lovely place to waste the day away

This Margaret River area has lots to keep us entertained!!
Janet and Paul suggested we take a trip down to the Yahava Koffeeworks in the morning and try some samplings.

First we popped into the wool shop, it was just like our SSI wool shop, a bunch of girls sipping coffee and sitting on comfy couches knitting, yakking away which each other, love the patterns here and choices of wool.

Then just around the corner was the coffee place.

ODD BALL'S this shop was full of them all
 sitting around knitting!
!

Now seriously who has time to knit??
never mind an egg cosy with a scarf, cute though.
Just need to add
 "BIG BIKES ONLY"

Now the coffee shop!!
That was a place to spend time

This turned out to be so much fun, the guy was a real treat and very funny and knowledgeable, he informed us that if we had been storing our coffee in the “Fridge or Freezer” that this was a mistake, the only way to store coffee was to buy it fresh every couple of months and store it in a dark air tight container to retain the oils, freezer or fridge just drys the coffee out he said.

He also prepared the samplings for us in a Bodum only, even the espresso, it had the best crème on it, he said that the boiled water to make coffee should be served just under boiling temperatures to be perfect, then grind the beans and pour the coffee in, leaving it one minute then stir it up then press with the bodum, lifting twice on the way down, what we got was a delicious black coffee with the best crème.  So much for my Miele Coffee Machine I had in the last house or for that matter any of the expensive brands, I guess when you have fresh coffee and know how to make it properly you just need a bodum!

All roasted in house, takes 15mins thats all.

Now look at the creme on that
and it was made in a Bodum

Coffee flavours
We particularly liked the Iced Latte flavour
Then he made us ice caps with his special blend and full cream topped off with baileys and hazelnut syrup, ooohh i could get used to this.

Now that is a great way to start a ride.
While we were in there another guy walked in for a tasting, he turned out to have the same bike as us and is originally from Israel but now living in Brisbane, its amazing how much time passes us by on a daily basis just sharing stories with fellow bikers and new friends, what a life.  He wrote down his contact information and we will look him up when we get to that side of the country in a couple of months from now, I tell you if your a biker you are never short of friends.
