The Great Ocean Road Part 2

We head back up the GOR with Mark

We were lucky this day as we werent sure if it was going to rain all day, we saddled up and Mark decided to brave the weather with us and take a trip back along the Great Ocean Road.

Its cold out there
Yes thats firewood on the bike
Ok so we might of been lucky with the rain but its still frigin cold, we stayed at Marks friends house but he warned us that we would need wood for the fire to keep us warm and that we could buy it at the local gas station.  Hmmm ok so then how do we get it back to the house, well as you can see Mark strapped it to his bike, I carried the kindling pack on my lap and off we went! The things we get up to.
We get to stay at Daves Place in Apollo Bay  a long
 time friend of Marks

Saying goodbye is the worst part of meeting
new friends but we are sure that we will be back to Aus as we need to see the other half, plus New Zealand, plus Tasmania - another trip for a year I think.

And Yes Mark I know what you mean when you say
  "we will always want more"
This traveling is addictive.

One of the best evenings with Mark was sitting at his friends place, a nice fire going and a couple of beers discussing old "tunes", yes thats tunes not times, we played name that artist, it was a great evening of talking of our travels and of what we would do next  in our lives.  When you are out for such a long time away from what you know and you meet new friends on the road, its very different, they have no expectations of you and you have none of yourself with them - its like a pure unconditional friendship, like you can just free flow with your thoughts and its ok!

Back to where we left off
Lets go see the Twelve Apostles, only there is only 7 left now.
OK
 I get the point!

The weather has changed but the coast is
 spectacular
I love this picture, it shows that nature will have the last word!

Rain gear is the item of style today

The rolling hills run right to the coast

The waves never stop

Its so green and lush here!
Read the sign
Apparently some people forget

There are more venomous snakes in Australia
than anywhere else in the world

Cape Otway Light station
Wind warnings today of up to 50knots!

Shit its cold!!!

Just loving the ride

The road hugs the coast most of the way
but the surface needs a little work

Check this one off my bucket list
"The Great Ocean Road"

We finish up with a look at the famous Bells Beach
I must give this surfing thing another go!!
