Friends you meet on the road

Mark and Pikwon's lovely home just outside of
 Melbourne

We first met Mark in Laos when we were both headed to the same town, we met him again a few more times and then we parted ways, he was heading back to his home in Melbourne and we carried on for a few more months, promising to drop in on him when we rode thru Aus. which is exactly what we did.

We get ready to go for a ride into the hills
Mark is just back from his 6 months trip and had only been home for a few weeks and he said he was already ready to jump back on his bike and go again. Yikes, that is what we are both afraid of too, when you are out in the world every day there is something new to experience and its very stimulating, what will it feel like to be home ourselves, time is ticking now and we are feeling the end of our trip drawing near.

A great ride on a damp day
Mark shows us the way into the twisty's
We head up to Yarrow Junction and Mount Baw Baw a road best known by the locals.

In the hills at the local bikers cafe.
We are the only ones there!

A great place to grab a bite
It was great to hang out with Mark again, we spent some of our time, riding around his home town, getting to know his friends and spending time with his wife, Pikwon was great, she made us feel so welcome and at home, i especially enjoyed my time with her because i have spent many months on the road chatting with the guys, not that I mind cause i luv you guys, but it was so nice to chat with a women for a change, we sat up till the wee hours of the morning discussing all kinds of subjects, thankyou again Pickwon.
We stop by one of by an old rail trestle now used as a
walking and mountain biking trail.

Back at Marks Place we say goodbye to Pikwon as we prepare
to  head back up to the Great Ocean Road with Mark.
