Osho, the Indian Mystic
great eyes!
Today we left our hotel across from the Osho International Ashram in Pune, I had so wanted to spend some time at the Ashram, but it wasn’t meant to be, not sure why, time just ran out. My friend Mada said that if we didn’t go in it would be like finding a treasure chest and not opening it, tempting?
Still we left it for another time perhaps.
Osho International had been a destination to me as my friend Mada had studied there and i liked what she learnt from Osho, I too wanted to see what it had to offer.
On the greeting card at the door Osho writes:
“What I am doing here is very simple, very ordinary, nothing spiritual in it, nothing sacred. I am not trying to make you holy persons, I am simply trying to make you sane, intelligent, ordinary people, who can live their lives joyousely, dancingly, celebratingly, I liked that.
Osho has written many books and had hundreds of his talks recorded as books also, the library was full of his teachings and there were 100's.
If anyone is looking for a place to hang out in India for a week or so to just meditate and play, finerpainting, archery, yoga, dance, then this is the place, only snag is you have to wear a burgandy frock and have an HIV test! couldnt seem to get Trev to go for it, this time! A very well cared for ashram with a zen feeling with all the black bamboo and water about!
Chenty, Trev had the right gut feeling not going in. This is the same guy that was in Oregon in 1985 when it was revealed that the commune leadership had committed a number of serious crimes, including a bioterror attack (food contamination) on the citizens of The Dalles (I lived near there as a kid). He was arrested shortly afterwards and charged with immigration violations. Osho was deported from the United States. Oh, by the way...the reason they do HIV testing is because they have orgies...if that is your thing. I know canadians can be naive...but this is something you should do research on.
