Into the BOX

So today we said goodbye to the bike for a while. It was kind of strange to have to leave it again in the hands of strangers but seeing that Ronnie our friend the Gypsy Biker had already used Mohammed from Access Freight to ship his bike to Dubai it kind of made it a bit easier. We were picked up at 9 am and rode to the warehouse about 15 minutes away. There we removed the cases and maneuvered it onto the palate that had just turned up. Standing on the center stand I removed the windshield, lowered the handle bars and removed the front wheel, now with the bike down on its knees it was tied down to the pallet in several places with a flat webbing. I removed the seat and disconnected the battery  and taped up the leads to prevent anything shorting on them.. We then proceeded to place our bags, hard cases and miscellaneous  BITS around the bike padding them in with our riding suits.

After being checked by Chenty,  the lid goes on and is screwed into place.
See you in India, hope it gets there along with us.
The whole processe took less than one and a half hours.
