Mohammad took care of shipping our bike from Jordan to India for us and when that was all put to bed he invited us back to his home to meet his wife and have dinner with them. We had a great time, its the first home cooked Jordanian meal we have had, so very good and very fun, we both ate way too much! After dinner we relaxed in the living room and had homemade desert too, delicious.
What a lovely couple, we laughed and chatted up a storm, we were very lucky because his wife is an English teacher so we got to learn so much about their culture and way of life here in Jordan. It turns out that they are trying to come to Canada to live and they should hear by March so we will keep our fingers crossed for them, we will stay in touch and when they come we hope they will come to visit us on Salt Spring. Mohammad has a brother in Toronto who has been there for many years also.
We were so comfortable with them, just like family, Manal felt like one of my sisters, we think alike.
Thanks again guys for a great evening and we will see you in Canada later this year..
