The Sella Hotel

The Stella Hotel, I booked us into this on the web via booking.com it had good reviews was the right price and said it was .2km to the gates of Petra, hmmmmm.
Posted by PicasaWe've had pretty good luck with booking.com but not this time, the people at the hotel was the best thing about it, they were accomodating and friendly and really tried to make our stay comfortable but with what they had to work with forget it.

We arrived and were put on the second floor because thats where the room was with a double bed! but also where there wasnt any heat, so it was freezing, then Trev jumped in the shower and the whole thing fell off the wall, sitting on the toilet was manageable but forget about wiping the ass as there was no room, then the flush was interesting, you had to pick up the whole tank top in order to get the flush to work!

We decided we couldnt live with it for the next two days so we asked to be moved, they gladly moved us to another room on the first floor, where there was heat and they pushed two single beds together for us.  Ok so now we are warm, time to blog, on booking.com it said free internet, well not so, although after Trevor going down to reception and negotiating with them we did get it but it was a pain as every hour you had to get a new code.

Next challenge was breakfast, this was included but thats not saying much, a few toasted,  previously frozen that am, hot dog buns, a greasy egg and some jam with those triangle cheeses, coffee well we have decided to buy our own Nescafe and carry it with us as even if they have it when they make it they must put half a jar in. Oh yeh and I fogot the shower in the new room, no hot water, and the hotel was a lot further than .2km to the Petra gate....

Heres the killer, when we checked out they said that they wanted to give us a gift, a free cd and color brochure on their hotel so that we could promote it on tripadvisor for them, yeh right!  So a word of warning, read further down in the reviews to get the real stories.
