Happy Halloween Everyone!!!
There are so many mask shops, you soon realize that some of these masks are imports so we searched out the locally made masks shops and saw some being made, that was much more fun.
Can you make me out behind the mask?
We kept imagining how Jess would have seen Venice as she was there a few years ago, she also told us to search out the mask makers shops!
Apparently, we were told, that the paper mache masks were the original masks made for the theatre because they were light and they also used leather masks because if the actor was required to show an expression on his face the leather would allow him to still do so and the porcelain were just brought in for mass production.
We of course managed to find one to send home in memory of our great visit here.
Me and the masked man, what a fun Halloween costume this would be, good idea for next year!
