Well I have spent the last few days looking into insurance for both us and the bike,

The internet is a wonderful place!! We are going to get Travel insurance through BCAA I must say that the value we get out of our membership just keeps coming back with discounts in hotels and now insurance we get our fees back every year its is an awesome deal never mind the road side assistance, haven't needed that to much but there was the time they had to give me a jump start on the bike (ever tried to bump start a BIG bike)

For insurance on the bike the only thing I can get is what they call Green Card coverage this is for liability only and will cover most of Europe it is proving to be quite expensive $105.00 euro per month that is about $145.00 Canadian per month that will not cover theft or damage.

We are reviewing our route as traveling through Libya to get to Egypt we will need a guide for the whole trip and that could cost as much as $2500.00 (not in our budget) So we are now looking at going through Israel from Turkey by ferry. We have had nothing but great reviews on that route so it seems like a possibility.

All we have confirmed to date is the Ireland , Scotland, England part of the trip. Then into France and beyond......
