After making several phone calls
 we head out early to ride the 300 km to get our new tire

We got up early the next morning and made several phone calls, one tire store said they could order us in a tire but we would have to ride to Ceduna to get it installed, that was 300km down the road.  We wondered whether the tire would hold out that far.

Well the fokes at the Nullarbor Roadhouse were great, they gave us all kinds of info and ideas but in the end we decided to saddle up, have a big breakfast and ride the 300k to Ceduna.  It was not a bad day still cold but no rain and the wind wasnt as bad as the day before, the guys at the roadhouse said that if you did blow out a tire someone would for sure pick you up.

Trev and I were both thinking at the same time about how we would leave the bike and take the back tire off and hitch a ride should it blow out, we had passed a car that had obviously broken down and it had been wrecked and smashed so we didnt want to leave the bike exposed for any length of time.  We both thought that we would ride the bike off the road and find a tree to hide it under,  take the back tire off and all the bags, put the cover on, set the gps waypoint and hitch to the next town, get the tire fixed and then hitch back to the bike.

Well thank god we didnt have to, we travelled slowly at 60km an hour and finally after about 5hrs reached Ceduna, we went straight to the tire store and they had already ordered the new one and said it should be here first thing in the morning.

A new back tire is always nice!!

Well the tire was in at 8.30 when we arrived, what a  great bunch of guys, very funny too, thanks again! They even mentioned that if we had needed them to, they would have come and got us.
