Khajuraho

We couldn't figure this one out?
never play with BIG cats (maybe)

Over 800 sculptures cover the temples, depicting gods and goddesses, beasts and warriors, sensuous maidens, dancers, musicians and of course the erotic scenes for which the Khajuraho temples are famous.

The detailing all carved in stone
 is very impressive

Situated in the most beautifully kept gardens
This turned out to be one of the most picturesque places we have been in India, lovely temples and gardens situated in such a peaceful setting, surrounding in the town with great places to stay and some half decent restaurants and shops.

The magnificent group of temples here are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built between 9th and 10th century.  They are incredibly detailed, we spent the whole day just looking up at them, many many carvings to  study.

Some of the many Erotic panels that are believed to celebrate
the marriage of Shiva and Parvati( he was a busy boy)
