When we left Jordan we see that our waybill was filled out with CPSA's name as the receiving agent so off we went to find them to see what exactly had to be done. We jumped into a auto rickshaw and after about 20mins of clanking horns, fumes and hundreds of dodging vehicles we arrived at his office, the trip was only 50 rupees which is like $0.50. We were escorted to the office of C P Sajeevan who is the Owner of the company, he was told that two "Foreigners" had arrived. It turns out he has offices all over India, its a big company! Seeing as he had been listed as the receiving agent his company had been notified of the route and timeline of the arrival of the bike and it was his companies job to take delivery from the airline of the bike and pass that onto our clearing agent, this turned out to be quite expensive.
the taking delivery part cost 9063 rupees
the clearing part cost 16000 rupees
the warehouse storeage overnight cost 4775 rupees
Insurance for the bike 1500 rupees
From what we now understand if we had left it c/o the airline on the waybill I could have taken delivery of it myself and saved a bunch of money. These things however are never clear and unless your a shipping agent you'll never get the handle of it.
Not to worry anyway as we ended up spending several hours with Sajeevan over lunch in his office and chatted about what to see and where to go in India along with conversations with regards to the economy and history of his country, all very interesting and fun.
The next day started at 10am where we met Aubrey from JP International, who was going to take care of all the clearing of the bike for us, he met us back at Sajeevan office to await the completion of the delivery documents for us to take to the cargo at the airport to clear the bike.
In short I spent all day following Aubrey around while he was getting the stamps and signatures from just about everyone there, this is something i would never attempt to do on my own. The crate was delivered to a quiet corner of the warehouse where we got to tear the box apart and quickly assemble the bike before anyone wanted even more money for that privaledge. All this time Chenty had to be left outside as she was not allowed to come inside the customs warehouse, this was from 11am till 5pm.. we did go out and get her for a bite to eat while they all closed for lunch. She said that she wishes the Indian people would keep their body fluids in their own bodies, the spitting and snotting got to her after watching it all day, its gross.
Aubrey was great help in not only all the clearing customs stuff but he also helped me put the bike back together, it was very comforting to see Aubrey showing the customs officials how and where to place their stamps and signatures.
As I pulled the bike outside the customs warehouse a crowd begins to gather, hmmmm I can see that being in India with a bike like this is going to be like a film star with paparazzi, if I could charge $1. for each photo taken of the bike I could pay for this trip real quick.
This is Aubrey, outside on the street as I pulled over to get Chenty, even more people gathered around it was hard to grab a quick photo of Aubrey before saying our thankyous and goodbyes.
I would highly recommend Aubrey so his company info is this:

Back at the Hotel where the staff were eagerly awaiting our arrival, they had been asking us for days, when will we see the bike! I left the bike parked outside while i took the bags up to our room and when I returned there was a crowd around the bike with someone sitting on it having his picture taken, not something Im fond of. I asked the hotel if someone could wash it and before i knew it there were 3 guys busy with suds and hoses cleaning her up.. 100 rupees ($2.00).
After she was all clean, I put her cover on and as I am always amazed the crowd dispursed and the bike seemed to disappear, im so glad i have the cover.
Tomorrow we ride, down to Goa!!
