So what have we been doing?

The ever growing skyline of Tel Aviv

We entered into Israel on the 2nd of  January hoping to be on our way to India by the 15th, well today is the 19th and we still don't have our Visas so here we stay. Actually if I had to pick a place to get stuck in I think it would be here and Tel Aviv is a wonderful modern city with an energy all of its own, we have met so many great people and have been shown around this tiny country and we love it. I think Israel is one of the most surprising places we have visited so far, and to think that when we planned our route it wasn't actually a destination it was only a route to get to Egypt, what we would have missed if we had not visited here.

We cannot hope to understand the politics of this country or for that matter any country in the short time we spend there but Israel is a special place, a definite must visit, put it on your bucket list you will not be disappointed. So with the time we have had here we have ridden across the country four times and the length of it at least twice, we have visited so many very special sites it has been like going back to Sunday School, all the stories we have been told, come to life in this tiny country, the history of the Bible really lives here.

So we are now hoping to get our Visas early next week upon which we will quickly load up and ride again across the country into Amman Jordan, where we will pack up the bike, put it in a box and continue on with the trip in India, in the mean time we will head up to Haifa for the weekend to learn more about this amazing small country with such a big heart and check out the Bahai Temple.
