Happy New Year for 2011 and Chentys Wish!

Goodbye 2010
Hello 2011
We found some drinks!!
Posted by PicasaA Special Remembrance:
My heart and prayers go out to two groups of people this New Years Eve, on boxing day 3 bus’s carrying a total of 117 passengers were travelling from Aswan to Luxor and the middle bus collided with a dump truck and 8 Americans were killed, alot of the other passengers got badly hurt too, the bus was completely smashed up it was awful, I cant imagine their poor families.  Then on New Years Eve in Alexandria a car bomb went off at a Coptic Christian Church killing 21 people and that started rioting on the streets between the Christians and the Muslims, its all so dreadful and reminds you where you are, isn’t it enough that 21 people died that night, when are we going to learn, how much worse does it have to get.

For all the people killed and all the injured in these incidents, my prayers go out to you and your families, it is very upsetting and I am truly sorry,  somehow just being in the country where it happened effects you on a deeper level and it makes you want to say “Im Sorry”.

Its funny because we purposely didn’t go to Israel for xmas as everyone said don’t go to the holy land for xmas because if anything is going to happen then thats when it would, so we decided to stay in Egypt, now only 200km from where we spent New Years Eve a car bomb goes off, i guess you can never know what is going to happen where, all we can do is pray that we are being watched over and stay safe!
That all being said we have constantly heard throughout the middle eastern countries from several different people, “One Heart, One World, One God”, so once again its just the extremists’ that spoil it for the rest.  As you maybe can tell we are ready to move on, it has been draining and tiring being here and they have along way to go with regards to Respect of their environment, their animals and their people. I do believe its changing but this is a country of 88million people its not going to happen over night.  When you speak to the locals they blame alot of the problems on “stress” coming from the simple life of the farmers into the 21st century and all its demands but thats no different than any other country has had to go thru to “Grow Up” .

So my New Years Wish for 2011 is this:
I wish for Peace in our world and in our hearts and to know that “Peace starts from within”.
I recently learnt a song that says "I am who I am, do you wish me to change so that you can stay the same" these are great words to ponder on.. Instead of asking others to change perhaps
“Be the change you wish to see”.
I wish that we as individuals strive to find that inner peace so that we may be in and of this world and contribute in a positive way to our WORLD with One Heart and One God.
Namaste
