The Sphinx Hotel in Dahab was a super find. We stayed there four nights in total, I went diving then we climbed Mount Sinai on a tour organised from there, That would be the one night we never slept in our bed but we did however sleep a lot the next day. The town of Dahab was a really nice place to stay and we enjoyed our time there a lot it had good accommodation at a very good price lots of restaurants with good food and again good prices the whole town was a backpackers haven.
The Gafy hotel in Sham el Sheike was not our scene in fact if we had been twenty years older I think we would have fit in better. We had planned on spending two nights here then catch the ferry across the red sea but found out that this ferry hardly ever runs and when it dose you can not get the bike on it anyhow so with the fact that we didn't feel like staying in our present hotel for a second night we got up early and made a 650 km run up to Suez under the canal then down the west side of the red sea to El Gouner. All day in the desert quite a boring ride so much so that I got permission from the boss to push it up to 130 kmh so we could get it done faster
