We found this young Turkish boy shining shoes outside the Citadel in Aleppo, our boots where looking quite grubby so we paid him 250 Syrian pounds each for a very good shine thats about $10 so he is making a good living at it.
Interesting thing is while he was half way through doing Chentys boots he had to high tail it out of there as the police where around and it is illegal or him to do it, he did how ever come back and finish the job and get paid
