The Rock of Gibraltar

We finally arrived at Gibraltar after riding for 700km's up the Atlantic coast, our asses were flat! then a fast ferry ride of 30mins across to Tarifa, with the time change in spain being two hours ahead of Morocco we didnt arrive till after midnight.

When you ride up to catch the ferries, guys will come running towards you, they are offering to help you fill out the paperwork, which is ok, you dont have to use them if you want to do it yourself. We used them and paid them 5euro's they wanted 10 but we just rode off.

We had planned on staying in another town in Morocco on the coast but when we got there it just didnt seem that great so we rode on.

We didnt get into Gibraltar till after midnight and we must of stopped at over 6 hotels and they were all full, finally we found one, it was really nice it was in the AC chain of hotels a 3 star for 69euro a night, it was actually just outside of Gibraltar like a 5min ride on the moto so that made it in spain again, by this time it was 1am and we were very tired.

The next day we explored Gibraltar, it is english, with english speaking people and english food and BEER a welcome change from the Moroccon Tangiers (stewed meat and boiled veg). I found an english book store and got myself a copy of "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho - anyone read it - it was a perfect book for me to read as it takes place in Morocco..cool book.

These monkeys have their home on the top of the rock of Gibraltar, they were pretty cute and harmless.

27,000 people live on this rock, it is a great little city with lots of shops and restaurants, even has its own bobbies and border crossing that we had to go thru, very relaxed i must say.
