Expo in Lisbon

In 1998 Lisbon hosted the World Expo and just like when Vancouver hosted it in 1986 the city was transformed. What was left is a city waterfront with lots of new buildings and the most awesome
Aquarium. We spent a few hours there and even coming from the west coast and myself being a diver the place was mesmerizing.
It was great to see what the Expo can do to a city.

The day we visited the Aquarium - it was nice to be in a quiet environment this day as we had just heard about our niece Megan passing away and we were stunned to say the least and didn’t know what to do with ourselves so it was the perfect place for us to be quiet and just watching the fish peacefully swimming around, trying to make some sense out of what happened when there is none, we just didn’t feel like doing much.
